How are rear spoilers installed?

Most CS-style boot lid spoilers use pre-applied 3M VHB double-sided tape and an adhesive promoter for installation - no drilling required and installation is achievable at home in under 20 minutes. Competition wings that require a structural mounting to the boot lid may require drilling and should be professionally installed.
Do carbon spoilers affect my BMW warranty?

Fitting a genuine BMW M Performance spoiler carries no warranty risk. Aftermarket carbon or gloss black spoilers are cosmetic modifications - they do not interact with any vehicle systems and in most cases will not affect warranty coverage.
