Nettoyez & préparez la zone de l'arc de roue et de la doublure [-0.094rem] [show_150ms_ease-in]
- Nettoyez soigneusement le bord de l'arc de roue et le revêtement intérieur (enlevez saleté, crasse, huile ou graisse). Une surface propre et sèche aide le revêtement et les protections à bien s'ajuster.
- Si vos protections d'arc nécessitent de retirer des clips ou fixations existants (rivets pop ou vis) du revêtement d'arc — retirez-les soigneusement d'abord.
Testez l'ajustement des protections d'arc pour vérifier l'alignement
- Tenez la protection d'arc contre l'arc pour vérifier son ajustement : suit-elle la courbe, s'aligne-t-elle avec les emplacements des trous de vis/rivet (ou là où vous allez percer) ? Cela aide à éviter des trous mal alignés ou des espaces.
Installez les protections d'arc avec rivets/clips en utilisant votre pistolet à rivets
- Positionnez la protection, insérez les rivets (ou clips/fixations fournis) à travers les trous de la protection et du revêtement. Utilisez votre pistolet à rivets pour "popper" les rivets : cela verrouille fermement la protection en place.
- Le pistolet à rivets doit tirer la tige du rivet jusqu'à ce que la tête du rivet serre la protection et le revêtement — les fixant ensemble.
Réinstallez ou sécurisez le revêtement (si applicable)
- Après avoir fixé la protection d'arc, réinstallez le revêtement intérieur de l'arc — soit en utilisant les bouchons/rivets fournis, soit les fixations d'origine du revêtement (si elles conviennent). Cela garantit que le revêtement et la protection forment un ensemble solide et soigné.
- Assurez-vous que la protection est affleurante et s'intègre parfaitement avec le revêtement/la carrosserie : pas d'espaces, pas de bords lâches.
Contrôle final et nettoyage
- Une fois tout fixé, vérifiez à nouveau que tous les rivets/clip sont bien serrés, que les protections sont sécurisées, et que le revêtement est correctement installé.
- Nettoyez toutes traces de doigts ou résidus, et assurez-vous qu'il n'y a pas de saleté coincée entre la protection et la carrosserie.
