BMW G87 M2 M Performance Track Package
BMW is raising its game for 2026 with the launch of the M Performance Track Package for the G87 M2. This isn’t a cosmetic bolt-on or a collection of badges—it’s a focused, factory-developed suite of upgrades that sits confidently between BMW’s existing M Performance parts and the upcoming M2 CS. For G87 M2 drivers looking for true track capability, straight from the dealership.
We built our own track ready G87 M2 which you can read about here.

Factory-Developed Aero
First impressions matter, and the Track Package doesn’t shy away. The aggressive rear wing, redesigned front bumper, and a host of aerodynamic details—including splitters, side skirts, and a motorsport-style diffuser—are all engineered by BMW’s own motorsport team. Each element is developed for real aerodynamic performance, not just for looks. The result is confidence-inspiring stability and downforce, all delivered with OEM fit, finish, and reliability.
Wheels & Tyres:
BMW equips the Track Package with its acclaimed 827 M wheels—borrowed from the M2 CS, now presented in a refined two-tone finish. Tyres are equally serious: expect Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 or Cup 2 R, both known for their exceptional track grip and composed road manners. This is a no-compromise setup, perfectly matched to the car and ready for fast laps right out of the box.

Chassis, Suspension & Brakes
Underneath, the upgrades continue with stiffer springs, retuned dampers, and—potentially—adjustable anti-roll bars for sharper handling. Braking gets a significant boost thanks to larger discs, improved calipers, and high-performance pads, all calibrated for hard track use. Chassis reinforcements promise even greater rigidity and driver confidence, ensuring the car feels alive whether you’re on a circuit or your favourite B-road. Every part is engineered and tested by BMW, giving you the thrill of high-performance driving with everyday usability.

Inspired by Motorsport, Built for the Road
The M Performance Track Package draws directly from BMW’s racing DNA, taking cues from the M2 Racing car and translating them into a road-legal package. The appeal here is clear: everything is developed as a cohesive system, installed by BMW, and fully backed by the manufacturer’s warranty. For drivers who want serious track credentials without the need for aftermarket tinkering, this package is the ideal solution.
Celebrating Choice: The Best of Both Worlds
The G87 M2 community is vibrant, with brands like Alpha-N, ADRO, and TRE constantly innovating and expanding what’s possible for the platform. The M Performance Track Package stands alongside these offerings, providing a new route for enthusiasts who prefer the seamless integration, peace of mind, and everyday ease that comes with a factory package. It’s another way to enjoy the M2—this time, with every part designed to work together and supported by BMW’s own engineers.
M Driver’s Package: Unleash the Full Potential
Paired with the Track Package, BMW’s M Driver’s Package is available for those who want even more. It lifts the top speed from 250 km/h to 285 km/h and includes a voucher for a professional BMW M track driving experience—a perfect pairing for drivers wanting to explore the full envelope of the G87 M2’s abilities.
What’s Still to Come
Some details remain under wraps—official release dates, final pricing, possible weight-saving measures, and whether the package will be available in all markets. Engine tuning and interior enhancements are also still to be confirmed. But if BMW’s recent track record is anything to go by, expect a package that balances excitement with everyday driveability.
