Does replacing a steering wheel affect my car's airbag or warranty?

Replacing a steering wheel requires careful handling of the airbag system during removal and installation. This is why professional installation is strongly recommended for all steering wheel replacements - incorrect handling of the airbag mechanism can result in inadvertent deployment or deactivation. For genuine BMW M Performance steering wheels, fitting should be performed by a BMW workshop or authorised installer. Regarding warranty, fitting a genuine BMW M Performance steering wheel should not affect warranty; aftermarket wheels may affect warranty coverage for the steering system specifically.
What steering wheel is available for the Audi R8?

We stock the OHC Full Alcantara Steering Wheel for the Audi R8 Gen 2 (4S, 2015–2024) and Audi TT/TTS/TTRS Mk3 (2015+). This is a full replacement wheel manufactured from premium Alcantara with a customisable top stripe colour. Note: only the wheel is supplied - buttons, electronics and paddle shifters are not included and you will retain your existing controls.
What does the BMW M Performance LED steering wheel do that a standard wheel doesn't?

The BMW M Performance Alcantara LED Steering Wheel includes an LED shift indicator strip at the top of the wheel - a feature derived from BMW's motorsport programme. The LEDs illuminate progressively as engine speed rises, providing a visual shift point cue. This is a feature of genuine racing-derived M Performance components unavailable on the standard wheel.
