Q: Is this splitter made from real carbon fibre?

A: Yes. This splitter is manufactured from CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer) with a 2x2 weave pattern and finished with a UV-protective high-gloss lacquer. It is not a carbon-look wrap or ABS plastic with a carbon print - this is genuine structural carbon fibre throughout.

Q: What does the 3-piece design mean? Is the centre section included?

A: The splitter consists of two outer winglet sections and a centre piece. The outer winglets are always included. The centre section is an optional upgrade - you can choose to add it at the time of ordering for a full competition-style front end, or run the outer sections only for a cleaner, wider-splitter look.

Q: Does this require the M Sport bumper?

A: Yes. This splitter is designed to integrate with the BMW M Sport (or M340i) front bumper. It will not fit the standard base-specification front bumper. If you are unsure which bumper your car has, check for the presence of a lower central intake with integrated fog light surrounds - this indicates the M Sport variant.

Q: Does it fit the G21 Touring as well as the G20 saloon?

A: Yes. This splitter is compatible with both the G20 saloon and G21 Touring body styles, provided the M Sport front bumper is fitted. The fitment and installation process is identical for both.

Q: How is it installed?

A: The splitter attaches using the included self-tapping bolts, which thread into the lower front bumper. No specialist tools, drilling of new holes, or professional fitting is required. Most owners complete the installation in under an hour.

Q: Will this fit after the 2022 LCI facelift?

A: No. This splitter is designed for the pre-LCI G20/G21 (2019–2022 build dates). The LCI model introduced a revised front bumper profile that is not compatible with this design. Please contact us if you need options for the post-2022 LCI model.

Q: What finish does the carbon have?

A: The splitter is finished in a high-gloss UV-resistant lacquer over the 2x2 carbon weave, giving a deep, show-quality shine. The gloss finish is consistent with the standard used across AUTOID's full carbon fibre range.

Q: Can this be used on track?

A: Yes. The competition-grade CFRP construction makes this splitter suitable for both road and track use. It is not a flexible or semi-rigid part - it is a rigid carbon structure designed for the aerodynamic and visual demands of performance driving.
