La F90 M5 LCI ha dato alla super berlina BMW un aspetto più deciso — fari laser più stretti, reni ridisegnati, paraurti inferiore più scolpito. Lo splitter anteriore Performance di Form Industries è il pezzo che completa il lavoro. Un set in tre pezzi — lama centrale più splitter laterali dedicati sinistro e destro — abbassa visivamente il muso, allarga la carreggiata anteriore e spinge il paraurti LCI in un territorio derivato dal motorsport.
Ogni pezzo è realizzato in fibra di carbonio pre-preg con tessuto twill 2x2 allineato su tutti e tre i componenti, così la trama si mantiene uniforme da un lato all'altro del paraurti. La costruzione pre-preg — resina e tessuto legati sotto calore e pressione in autoclave — produce un componente più leggero, rigido e dimensionalmente preciso rispetto alla fibra bagnata, con una finitura lucida profonda resistente ai raggi UV e agli agenti atmosferici.
Lo splitter è stato progettato specificamente per il paraurti LCI, non adattato da un pezzo pre-LCI. Il pezzo centrale segue la nuova presa d'aria inferiore, le alette laterali riprendono le prese d'aria angolari ridisegnate, e i tre pezzi si uniscono in un design unico e risolto — senza spazi, senza scalini scomodi, senza montaggi approssimativi.
