Upgrading the 992 GT3 with a Boost Logic Titanium Exhaust System

Upgrading the 992 GT3 with a Boost Logic Titanium Exhaust System

The Porsche 992 GT3 is, for many, the pinnacle of the modern driving experience. It’s got the heritage, the handling, and that legendary 4.0L flat-six that screams all the way to a 9,000 RPM redline.

But even with a masterpiece, there’s always room for more over stock form. Specifically, more soul, more volume, and a bit more ‘get up and go.’ That’s where the Boost Logic exhaust system comes in.

We recently had Jack's ADRO 992.1 GT3 in the workshop to install the full Boost Logic Formula Series Titanium Exhaust System and Race Headers. The result? It might just be the best-sounding shop car we’ve ever had at HQ.

Watch the Transformation

Check out the video below to see the install in action and, more importantly, hear those cold starts and flybys. Trust us, you’ll want your headphones for this one.

The Setup: Titanium Perfection

When you’re modifying a car of this calibre, weight is everything. The stock 992 exhaust is notoriously heavy due to tightening emissions regulations and restrictive OPF (Gasoline Particulate Filters).

The Boost Logic Formula Series system replaces that bulk with high-grade, lightweight titanium. Not only does this shave significant weight off the rear of the car improving the already incredible handling but it also adds that distinct, exotic titanium ‘ring’ to the exhaust note.

Key Features:

  • Formula Series Titanium Muffler: Precision engineered for maximum flow and a refined tone.
  • Race Headers: These delete the restrictive factory manifolds to unlock serious power and throttle response.
  • Helmholtz Chambers: Boost Logic has integrated these to specifically target and eliminate 'drone,' ensuring the car is still perfectly usable on a long motorway blast to the track.
  • Valved Control: Retains the ability to quieten the car down for early morning starts or keep it wide open for the backroads.

Weight comparison

Weight Comparison: Stock vs. Boost Logic

Component OEM / Stock (KG) Boost Logic Titanium (KG) Weight Saving (KG)
Exhaust Manifolds / Headers 14 kg 8.9 kg 5.1 kg
Rear Muffler & Mid-Section 17.3 kg 5.2 kg 12.1 kg
Total System Weight 31.3 kg 14.1 kg 17.2 kg

Note: Weights are approximate and based on the 992 GT3 European-spec with OPF filters.

The Performance Benefit

In the world of Porsche GT products, a 17.2 kg (approx. 37 lbs) saving is massive. Because this weight is hanging off the back of the car, behind the rear axle, removing it directly improves the car's rotational inertia. You’ll notice a car that feels more eager to turn in and more composed under heavy braking.

The Sound & Performance

Once the headers and titanium system were bolted up, the change was night and day. On startup, there’s a newfound crispness. Under load, the car has transformed from a muffled roar to a piercing, high pitched wail that reminds us of the RSR race cars.

But it’s not just about the noise. By opening up the flow with those race headers, the mid range torque feels noticeably punchier, and the throttle response is instantaneous. It’s the GT3 experience, just turned up to 11.

Verdict

The Porsche 992 GT3 is a special car, but the Boost Logic system makes it an unforgettable one. If you’re looking to unlock the true personality of your flat-six while shedding weight and adding a motorsport-inspired sounds, this is the definitive setup.
