AUTOID stand by selling strictly premium products we would purchase for ourselves.
We've built our own Porsche 992 GT3 and documented the journey.
We are the UK distributors for ADRO.
The Porsche 992 GT3 is widely celebrated as one of the most complete road-legal performance cars ever built - a perfectly judged combination of precision, usability, and motorsport-grade engineering. But for those who want to sharpen the edges, elevate the visuals, and gain even more aerodynamic grip without compromising its road focused usability, the ADRO carbon fibre aero kit is a game-changer.
Recently, we partnered with ADRO to fit and test Europe’s first 992 GT3 equipped with their complete aero package, and took it straight to Cadwell Park to let professional F1 driver Liam Lawson put it through its paces. The verdict? More grip, more high-speed stability, and a level of confidence that transforms the way the GT3 communicates with the road.

About ADRO - Motorsport meets design
ADRO (Aerodynamic Development Race Optimization) is no ordinary styling brand. Headquartered in South Korea with an international team of aerodynamicists, designers and engineers, ADRO’s background includes experience in Formula 1, endurance racing and advanced materials R&D.
Their development process is intensive: full clay to CAD modelling, CFD simulations, real-world wind tunnel validation and extensive track testing. Every product ADRO releases must meet stringent standards not just for appearance - but for genuine enhanced aerodynamic function.
In a video walkaround with Design Director Davis Lee, we saw how this ethos translates directly into their GT3 kit. As Davis explains, every line has purpose:
“We design as though this could be an OEM option. It’s about more than adding carbon - it’s about engineering with intent.”

GT3 vs GT3 RS: Why the ADRO Kit Makes Sense for the Road
The Porsche GT3 RS is the ultimate track-focused expression of the 911 platform - no question. But the truth is, for many owners, that level of extremity doesn’t always make sense on real roads or even for occasional track days.
GT3 RS pricing and availability are increasingly out of reach. New allocations are rare and typically reserved for long-time Porsche clients, and used examples are commanding well over £250,000 in the UK market.
In contrast, a well-specced 992 GT3 can still be sourced for around £160,000–£180,000 — and delivers 90% of the RS experience straight out of the box.
What the ADRO kit offers is a way to close that remaining gap — not just visually, but dynamically:
+30% more downforce than a GT3 in max aero configuration.
Real aerodynamic balance — not just a big rear wing.
OEM-quality carbon construction that replaces the standard GT3’s rough-textured black plastics.
Fully reversible installation , ideal for preserving residuals and warranty.
Who is this kit really for?
-
GT3 owners who want RS-level confidence without compromising daily drivability.
Buyers priced out of a GT3 RS but looking to extract every bit of performance from their GT3.
Enthusiasts who track their cars occasionally and want a more planted, responsive feel without losing street comfort.
This is not about turning your GT3 into a hardcore track toy. It’s about intelligently evolving it - giving it more grip, more presence, and more excitement for the kind of use most owners actually get from their cars.

What’s Included in the Kit
The ADRO 992 GT3 aero kit includes six core components produced from pre-preg carbon fibre:
Carbon Front Intake & Splitter : Optimises airflow through the front end, replacing the factory black plastics with high-gloss carbon. The splitter increases downforce while feeding air efficiently to brake ducts and radiators.
Carbon Side Skirts : Full OEM replacement skirts that extend visual width and assist in air channeling along the body. OEM-style clips ensure a seamless non-destructive fitment.
Rear Diffuser & Undertray : A complete replacement setup designed to pull airflow from under the car more effectively than stock, enhancing rear-end stability.
Rear Diffuser Trim : Adds subtle visual depth and extra contouring at the rear enhancing and complimenting the OEM design language.
GT3 RS-Inspired Rear Wing : The most striking component. With swan-neck mounts, a double-layer blade, and adjustable angles, it adds serious downforce and visual presence.
Combined, the kit offers a 30% increase in total downforce over a stock GT3 at its maximum factory aero setting - all while maintaining optimal front/rear balance.

Development Philosophy: Aero with Balance
One of the key technical priorities for ADRO was preserving the Porsche GT3’s legendary handling balance. As ADRO aerodynamicist Scott explained, the temptation with aero kits is to add a huge rear wing for headline downforce figures - but this can upset handling.
“The GT3’s strength is its balance. If you just add rear downforce, the front won’t keep up. We focused on maximising airflow under and through the front of the car first - then scaled the rear wing to match.”
This front-to-rear harmony is what allows the ADRO kit to feel progressive, predictable, and secure at speed, rather than simply “stickier.”

Pushing Innovation Further: The AI Splitter Prototype
Even after developing the standard kit, ADRO went further. By harnessing AI generative design, they created a next-generation front splitter prototype with even more advanced geometry.
This AI-designed splitter increased total front downforce by an additional 30% over the already-optimised standard ADRO design - without increasing drag or requiring invasive body modifications. While not yet available commercially, it signals where ADRO is heading: more innovation, more refinement, and race-bred engineering for the road.
Real-World Results: Liam Lawson on Track
We brought in F1 driver Liam Lawson to test the full ADRO kit at Cadwell Park, one of the UK’s most technical circuits. His feedback gives us the clearest picture of what this kit truly delivers:
“The grip is way better than I was expecting - especially in high-speed corners. The front is really strong. I could brake later, carry more speed, and get on throttle sooner.”
He repeatedly highlighted how the car stayed planted under load, and how the added downforce didn’t just show up in the data - it transformed driver confidence:
“High-speed entries were massively improved. The steering loaded up nicely, and I could feel the bite. It stayed connected right to the apex - no guessing.”
Even at lower speeds, where aero has less influence, Liam found the GT3 with the kit felt more predictable:
“I had less mid-corner understeer and more consistency. It didn’t snap - it rotated predictably. That’s what gives you confidence to push.”
Over just a few sessions, Liam shaved nearly 10 seconds off his lap time, with no tyre upgrades or drastic setup changes - just the aero.
Daily Usability Meets Motorsport Intent
This kit isn’t just for hardcore track warriors. Thanks to OEM-style fitment, all parts are fully reversible, meaning you can return your GT3 to stock with ease. For owners concerned about warranty or resale value, that’s huge.
Despite its track focus, the ADRO kit fits perfectly into the daily usability of a 992 GT3 adding visual aggression without looking aftermarket. You gain all the benefits of a more track focused machine - without losing what makes the GT3 so versatile to begin with.
“We could remove this kit tomorrow and the car would look and function exactly as it did from factory.”
Beyond Carbon: Replacing Plastic with Purpose
One of the most visible upgrades the kit provides is the removal of Porsche’s rough-textured black plastic aero elements. These are replaced throughout with high-gloss carbon fibre matched to OEM herringbone weave specs.
From the front intake to the side skirts, rear diffuser and wing - the result is a GT3 that looks as purposeful as it performs. No corner has been cut. Every element is crafted with the precision you’d expect from Porsche themselves.
Final Verdict: The Best Aftermarket Aero Upgrade for the 992 GT3?
We think so. The ADRO carbon kit delivers measurable performance on track, transforms the look of the car, and maintains road usability with OEM-quality fitment and finish. With feedback from professional F1 driver Liam Lawson, the data and development to back it up, and the visual aggression GT3 owners crave - this kit is the real deal.
Whether you’re chasing lap times or just want your GT3 to feel that bit more dialled in, ADRO offers one of the most complete, balanced aero upgrades on the market today.
