The Ultimate Modified BMW X6M Build

The Ultimate Modified BMW X6M Build

At our shop, we don’t really believe in the word "finished." We previously built what many considered one of the cleanest BMW F96 LCI X6Ms in the UK, but when the owner, Daniel, came back and asked if we can take it up a level.

We didn't just add a few bolt-ons; we completely reimagined this F96 LCI. From a full color transformation to an "ASBO" spec exhaust tune that sounds like an AK-47, here is how we pushed this X6M into a league of its own.

The Visual Overhaul: Satin White Aluminum & HREs

The car arrived wrapped in Satin Black which was aggressive, but a bit played out. We stripped it back to its original Brooklyn Gray before applying a stunning Satin White Aluminum wrap.

To complement the new skin, we ditched the previous setup for the "Holy Grail" of wheels: the HRE OG P101 in Satin Silver. To perfect the stance, we installed H&R 35mm lowering springs, closing that arch gap and giving this SUV a predatory silhouette without sacrificing its rugged DNA.

Exterior Aero & Carbon

  • Front End: We refitted the CT Carbon front splitter for that essential low-profile growl.
  • The Rear: We installed the SQ Pre-preg Carbon Fibre diffuser, the most aggressive unit on the market, featuring a functional F1-style LED brake light.
  • Finishing Touches: TRE Carbon mirror caps, a TRE shark fin cover, and dual CT spoilers (mid-boot and roof) to round out the aero package.

Performance

Daniel wanted it louder. We delivered "extremely loud." We paired the existing Valvetronic catback system with FI Exhaust High-Flow Sports Cats. These are less restrictive, pass MOT, and provide a raw, metallic wail that is second to none.

Under the hood, we added the crown jewel of induction: the Eventuri Carbon Intake system, complete with a matching carbon engine cover. The induction noise combined with the turbo spool is pure mechanical symphony.

The Tuning Twist

While we initially thought this was the S63 engine, we discovered this LCI model actually houses the new S68 engine. We teamed up with Velocity Tuning for a precision ECU unlock.

  • Stock Power: 630 bhp
  • Tuned Power: 730 bhp

We prioritized a safe, reliable torque curve while delivering the "flame-spitting" overrun Daniel requested. It is, quite literally, a riot on wheels.

Interior

You spend your time inside the car, so "stock" wasn't going to cut it. We swapped the factory unit for a Custom Carbon Fibre LED Steering Wheel. It features a flat bottom, carbon top, and an integrated LED rev counter with shift lights that flash red when you hit the limit.

To handle the gear changes, we installed the last remaining set of Limited Edition Mad Trace x Golden Wrench Magnetic Paddles. The tactile "click" of these carbon and aluminum paddles makes every shift feel like you're piloting a GT3 car.

The Verdict

This F96 X6M LCI is now balancing the sophisticated aesthetic of Satin White Aluminum and HRE P101s with the raw, unhinged power of a 730 bhp S68 engine, we’ve created a vehicle that looks and performs as it should.

Engineered to Daniel's exact vision. It’s loud, it’s fast, and it’s arguably one of the most complete X6M builds in the UK.
