Top 5 Modifications for the Audi RS6 C8

There's a reason we swapped our own shop fleet of BMWs for an Audi RS6 C8. A 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8, a chassis that hides its 2.1 tonnes better than it has any right to, and an estate body that means you can do the school run and a track day in the same week. It's arguably the most complete performance car money can buy right now.

But stock, it's also quiet. Deliberately so. Audi builds the RS6 to be liveable, which means the exhaust is muted, the intake is buried under acoustic foam, and the stance sits a fraction too tall for a car this wide. None of that is a flaw. It's just a starting point.

So what are the best modifications for the Audi RS6 C8? Based on what we've fitted to our own C8 and the platforms we build daily, the five that make the biggest difference are an Eventuri carbon fibre intake, a Milltek particulate filter-back exhaust, Bimecc wheel spacers, an ARKYN Falcon-1 carbon roof box, and the TREVORA carbon fibre body kit we're currently developing for the C8. Here's why each one earns its place.

Audi RS6 & RS7 C8 Eventuri Carbon Fibre Intake Kit (2019+, C8) - AUTOID® - Air Intakes - Eventuri

1. Eventuri Carbon Fibre Intake Kit

The EA825 twin-turbo V8 in the RS6 C8 is a strong engine held back by a restrictive factory airbox, heavily boxed in by the underside of the bonnet. Eventuri's approach was to redesign the entire airbox around that limited space rather than work within it, increasing the turbo inlet cross-section by as much as 85% and reshaping the filter angle so airflow reaches the turbos with far less turbulence.

The result, independently dyno-tested, is 15 to 25hp and 11 to 20ft-lbs on a stock ECU, climbing to 45 to 50hp with a Stage 1 map and 60 to 80hp at Stage 2. It's a genuine gain, not just a louder induction note, though the note itself is sharper too.

Constructed from carbon fibre with a bespoke BMC filter, the kit retains full factory sensor compatibility, so there's no warning lights, no recalibration required. It's built to order with a typical 4 to 8 week lead time. If you're planning a Stage 1 or Stage 2 remap on your C8, this is the modification to do first.

Audi RS6 C8 & RS7 C8 Particulate Filter-back Exhaust System by Milltek (2020+) - AUTOID® - Exhaust System - Milltek Sport

2. Milltek Particulate Filter-Back Exhaust

The honest starting point here: this isn't a full cat-back system. The RS6 C8's petrol particulate filter sits upstream of where this system connects, so the emissions equipment stays exactly where Audi put it. What you're changing is everything downstream, twin 80mm tailpipes in T304 stainless, engineered specifically for this chassis rather than adapted from another platform.

That distinction matters for two reasons. First, it means the system installs without any cutting of the factory pipework. Second, it means the RS6 keeps its road manners under load and low-speed running, while opening up properly under acceleration where the factory system chokes the note back. Milltek has been building exhausts in the UK since 1983, and it shows in how deliberately this one is tuned rather than just made louder.

Finished in Cerakote black or polished oval trims, it's a straightforward direct fitment with no other vehicle modification required.

Audi A6 S6 RS6 & A7 S7 RS7 C8 Wheel Spacers Kit 5x112 by Bimecc (2019+) - AUTOID® - Wheel Spacers - Bimecc

3. Bimecc Wheel Spacers

Few modifications change the visual balance of a car for as little outlay as a well-specified set of spacers. The RS6 C8 arrives with a factory stance that's a touch conservative for how wide the arches actually are, and the fix isn't a drop in ride height, it's pushing the wheel out to properly fill the arch.

Bimecc's spacers are CNC-machined from high-grade aluminium and built to hub-centric tolerances, which is the detail that separates a spacer that improves handling feel from one that just adds play. Fitted in the 5x112 pattern for the C8, they tighten the stance without touching ride quality or requiring any other component to be changed.

It's the cheapest item on this list and arguably the one with the most visible return per pound spent.

Modified Audi RS6 C8 fitted with Arkyn Carbon Fibre roof box

4. ARKYN Falcon-1 Carbon Fibre Roof Box

A roof box is usually where a properly built car goes to look ordinary again. The RS6 C8 is a genuine daily and a genuine load-lugger, so for owners who actually use the estate body for what it's designed for, that's a real tension: how do you carry more without the car looking like it's wearing a caravan on its roof for the weekend.

ARKYN built the Falcon-1 specifically to answer that. Full carbon fibre construction, a profile that sits low and follows the roofline rather than perching above it, and mounting hardware designed to look considered rather than bolted on as an afterthought. It's the one item on this list that has nothing to do with power or stance and everything to do with the RS6's actual job as a car that does long weekends, family trips, and track days without needing a second vehicle.

Modified Audi RS6 C8 renders fitted with Trevora carbon fibre body kit

5. TREVORA Carbon Fibre Body Kit (In Development)

This one isn't available yet, so we'll be upfront about that. TREVORA, the carbon fibre specialists behind the TR87 kit for the BMW G87 M2, are currently developing a full pre-preg carbon fibre body kit for the Audi RS6 C8, covering a front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler.

The renders below give a sense of the direction. The front splitter extends the lower edge of the factory bumper without fighting the C8's existing lines, the side skirts sharpen the profile through the doors, and the rear treatment, diffuser and spoiler together, is designed to look like it left the factory this way rather than arriving as an aftermarket add-on later.

As with every TREVORA product, construction will be 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon fibre, CFD-developed rather than styled by eye alone, and backed by TREVORA's three-year warranty once it reaches production.

We'll confirm pricing and availability on the Mod Blog once the kit is closer to release. If you want to be first to know, that's the page to keep an eye on.

Where This Leaves the Build

None of these five modifications fight each other. The intake and exhaust work together on the powertrain side, the spacers correct the one thing the factory got slightly wrong about the stance, and the roof box and upcoming TREVORA kit cover the two things a car like the RS6 actually needs to do well: carry more, and look like it means it.

Whether you start with the exhaust or the wheels depends on what's bothering you most about the car as it sits in your driveway right now. That's usually the honest place to begin.
