What is the difference between a cat-back, axle-back and GPF/OPF-back exhaust for the G82 M4?

A cat-back system replaces everything from the catalytic converter back to the rear of the car, including the mid-pipe and rear section. An axle-back system only replaces the rear section from the rear axle back - it is a more affordable option but delivers less sound and flow improvement. A GPF/OPF-back system retains the original catalytic converters but replaces from the particulate filter back, which is the most popular option for the G82 M4 as it removes the flow restriction caused by the GPF/OPF while remaining fully road-legal.
Will a performance exhaust void my BMW warranty?

Fitting a non-genuine exhaust component may affect the specific warranty coverage for that system and related components. However, BMW cannot void your entire manufacturer warranty solely on the basis of an aftermarket exhaust under UK consumer law.
