Pre-preg Carbon Fibre is made from sheets already impregnated with resin and cured under heat and pressure. That gives a consistent resin content, low weight and a uniform finish. Standard Carbon Fibre is usually wet-laid, with resin applied by hand. FRP (fibreglass reinforced plastic) is heavier and less stiff than either, but costs less to make.
