The complete systems are the Akrapovič Slip-On Line in titanium, the Boost Logic titanium exhaust, the Remus exhaust, and Milltek's cat-back, axle-back and particulate filter-back systems. Alongside them are Milltek and Akrapovič downpipes, Milltek OPF/GPF bypass pipes and the Z-Pipe, Akrapovič's Evolution Link Pipe Set and Milltek's plug-and-play valve control. Akrapovič lists its Slip-On Line for the M4 Competition, xDrive, CSL and G83 Convertible as well as the coupé, though its type approval doesn't cover the CSL.

What's the difference between a cat-back, axle-back and OPF-back exhaust on the G82 M4?

A cat-back system replaces everything behind the catalytic converters. An axle-back replaces only the rear section behind the rear axle. An OPF-back, or GPF-back, system keeps the catalytic converters and the particulate filter and replaces the exhaust behind the filter.
Which G82 M4 exhausts are road legal?

Akrapovič lists ECE type approval for its Slip-On Line on OPF-equipped cars. The Boost Logic titanium system, the Remus racing configurations, the Milltek full catback, and the bypass pipes and downpipes are all listed for off-road, track or competition use only. Each product page states which applies.
Do I need a remap with a G82 M4 exhaust?

Not for the Akrapovič Slip-On Line, which Akrapovič says needs no ECU remapping. The Milltek full catback and OPF/GPF bypass need vehicle coding, Stage 2 ECU software or a bypass module, the Boost Logic system needs an OPF delete module cable or vehicle coder, and Akrapovič's Evolution Link Pipe needs ECU remapping.

Each product page lists the models and years it's made for. Some parts come in separate versions for cars with and without a particulate filter, such as Milltek's catback for non-OPF North American M3s and M4s, and the Remus system is sold as an axle-back, GPF-back, secondary cat-back or cat-back. If you're not sure which suits your car, contact our team.
