BMW 2 Series & M240i G42 Carbon Fibre Front & Rear Arch Guard Set by AP (2021+)

🔧 Tools Needed:

• Rivet gun (you can buy here)
  

• Drill + drill bit (only if your car doesn’t already have holes)

• Screwdriver

• Cleaning cloth + cleaning spray

📝 Install Steps:

1. Clean & prepare the wheel-arch and liner area

   • Thoroughly clean the wheel-arch edge and inner liner (remove dirt, grime, oil, or grease). A clean, dry surface helps the liner and guards sit properly.

   • If your arch guards require removing existing clips or fasteners (pop-rivets or screws) from the arch liner — remove them carefully first.

2. Test-fit the arch guards to check alignment

   • Hold the arch guard up to the arch to check how it fits: does it follow the curve, align with screw/rivet hole locations (or where you’ll drill)? This helps avoid misaligned holes or gaps.
     

3. Install the arch guards with rivets/clips using your rivet gun

   • Position the guard, insert rivets (or provided clips/fasteners) through the guard and liner holes. Use your rivet gun to “pop” the rivets: this locks the guard firmly in place.

   • The rivet gun should pull the rivet stem until the rivet head clamps down against the guard and liner — securing them together.

4. Re-fit or secure the liner (if applicable)

   • After the arch guard is fixed, reattach the inner arch liner — either by using the supplied plugs/rivets or the original liner fasteners (if they fit). This ensures the liner and the guard form a solid, neat assembly.

   • Make sure the guard sits flush and seamlessly with the liner/bodywork: no gaps, no loose edges.

5. Final check and clean-up

   • Once everything is fixed, double-check that all rivets/clips are tight, the guards are secure, and the liner is properly fitted.

   • Clean off any fingerprints or residue, and make sure there’s no dirt trapped between guard and bodywork.
