Q: Will these fit without any modification or adhesive?

A: Yes. The FORM Industries pre-preg mirror covers are manufactured to the same internal clip dimensions as the OEM BMW mirror housing. They clip directly in place of the factory caps without requiring any adhesive, cutting, or preparation of the mirror housing base. The process mirrors removing and refitting an OEM cover.

Q: What is the difference between pre-preg carbon and standard carbon?

A: Standard (wet-lay) carbon is produced by hand-applying resin to dry carbon fabric during layup, which results in variable resin distribution and a slightly rougher or less consistent finish. Pre-preg carbon uses fabric that has been pre-impregnated with a precise amount of resin, then cured under heat and pressure. The result is a denser, lighter component with a flawless, consistent surface - the specification used in motorsport and aerospace.

Q: Do I get both the left and right mirror cap in the set?

A: Yes. Each set includes one left-hand mirror cover and one right-hand mirror cover - a matched pair. The weave pattern and gloss level are consistent between the two caps.

Q: Does this fit the E93 convertible and E90 saloon as well as the E92 coupe?

A: Yes. The E90 saloon, E92 coupe and E93 convertible all share the same mirror housing base geometry and clip dimensions. These covers fit all three M3 variants from the 2007–2013 generation.

Q: Does this fit the standard E90/E92 3 Series (non-M3)?

A: The mirror housing geometry of the M3 variants (E90/E92/E93 M3) and the 1M (E82) is specific to those models. Standard 3 Series E90/E92 non-M variants may use a different mirror housing profile. Please contact us to confirm before ordering if you have a standard 3 Series.

Q: Can you fit these at your facility?

A: Yes. FORM Industries uses a consistent 2x2 weave specification and high-gloss lacquer finish across their product range. If you have other FORM Industries carbon products fitted, the weave pattern and gloss level will match. AUTOID-branded carbon products from the same specification tier will also closely match.
