Q: What is the difference between pre-preg and standard carbon fibre?

A: Pre-preg carbon fibre starts with resin already evenly distributed through the fabric. The panel is then cured under heat and pressure in an autoclave, producing a part that is denser, lighter and more structurally consistent than wet-lay carbon, where resin is applied by hand. The gloss of pre-preg is also deeper and more uniform. It is the construction method used in Formula 1 and aerospace components.

A: Yes. The spoiler's lip angle and trailing-edge profile were developed through CFD simulation using 3D scan data of the Model S boot lid. The shape adds rear downforce and trims air separation off the back of the car, which translates to improved planted feel during fast lane changes and motorway driving.

A: No drilling is required. The spoiler uses the included 3M automotive adhesive tape for a clean, hardware-free installation. The 3D-scanned fitment means it sits flush against the boot lid contour without shimming or trimming.
