BMW G99 M5 Touring Modified by AUTOID

The BMW G99 M5 Touring is already one of the most powerful estate cars ever built, but its design divides opinion. This customer build proves what happens when you unlock its full potential. With the full TRE PR-1 carbon-fibre body kit, Eventuri intakes, Bimecc spacers and Zunsport grilles, the G99 M5 finally looks as aggressive as it drives.

Few cars have split the BMW community quite like the new G99 M5 Touring. Its size, weight and styling have been heavily debated since launch. At AUTOID, that’s exactly the kind of challenge we enjoy.

This customer came to us with a beautifully spec’d stock G99 M5 Touring and asked us to take it to the next level — keeping it OEM plus in feel, but unmistakably AUTOID in attitude.

Working with TRE, we developed a full PR-1 carbon fibre aero kit designed to sharpen the G99’s proportions without losing its factory design language.

Kit contents
• Front splitter with canards.
• Side skirts for smoother profile flow.
• Rear diffuser with centre section to replace BMW’s split design.
• New TRE rear spoiler — our favourite addition.

Each piece uses OEM mounting points and high quality pre-preg carbon for a factory grade fit and finish.

The new spoiler follows the natural line of the Touring’s tailgate, adding just enough aggression without overpowering the rear. Combined with the new diffuser, it completely rebalances the car visually.

This G99 build isn’t just about looks. The owner wanted every modification to have a purpose.

• Eventuri carbon intakes – increase airflow and deliver the deep induction sound the stock setup hides.
• Bimecc 15 mm spacers – tested across our own M5 fleet to bring the wheels flush with the arches for a stronger stance with zero rubbing.
• Zunsport grilles – a simple but essential protection mod that prevents stone damage to exposed oil coolers and radiators.

Together they give the M5 the presence, practicality and durability it should have come with from the factory.

Every TRE PR-1 component installs using OEM mounting points, meaning no cutting or modification to the bodywork. Fitment is exceptional, and the three-piece design of the front splitter and diffuser allows individual sections to be replaced if damaged - ideal for daily use or spirited driving.

The carbon finish matches OEM M Performance weave, ensuring seamless integration with any existing factory carbon trim.

Once the final pieces were fitted, the transformation was immediate. The G99’s controversial lines now make sense - sharper, wider and more cohesive. The new spoiler and diffuser give the Touring the aggression its power demands, while the Eventuri intakes and carbon tips provide the soundtrack to match.

From every angle, the car now looks factory developed rather than aftermarket modified. It’s the perfect example of what happens when function meets form.
