The AUTOID story began in November 2015 , born from a desire to address a specific need within the BMW community: high-quality M-style mirror caps. Recognising a gap in the market, the founder embarked on a mission to design and offer these sought-after details. This initial focus on precision and quality laid the foundation for the company's future ethos.



From humble beginnings, AUTOID quickly expanded its product line, meeting the increasing demand for high-quality vehicle modifications.
A pivotal moment early on came in 2016 when the renowned automotive enthusiast, Mr. Achilles, featured AUTOID's mirror caps on his BMW M2 collection video. This exposure proved to be a significant catalyst, propelling AUTOID into the spotlight and showcasing a commitment to quality to a wider audience.



The journey continued with organic growth, and in 2017 , an unexpected event played a crucial role in shaping the company's structure. During Jack's medical leave, his brother Sam stepped in to assist, establishing a working model that would become integral to AUTOID's operations.
By 2018 , the potential for AUTOID's growth became undeniable. Jack made the decisive commitment to pursue the business wholeheartedly, recognising the growing demand for styling products and the strong community he was building.
2019 marked a significant step in the company's physical expansion with the acquisition of their first unit at Stondon Hall Farm. This provided a dedicated space for operations and growth. That same year, Sam officially joined the team through an apprenticeship, further solidifying the family-driven nature of the business and investing in its long-term future.

The year 2020 brought unforeseen circumstances with the COVID-19 pandemic. Interestingly, this period led to an unexpected surge in sales for AUTOID as enthusiasts, spending more time at home, turned their attention and resources towards their vehicles. This unexpected boom necessitated the hiring of AUTOID's first external employee, Josh, to manage the increasing sales volume, a significant milestone in the company's evolution.

Continuing its upward trajectory, 2021 saw AUTOID strategically expand its reach and infrastructure. Recognising the power of online engagement, the company amplified its social media presence and collaborated with influencers to connect with a broader audience. Simultaneously, to accommodate growing inventory and demand, AUTOID expanded its warehouse space by acquiring the adjacent unit.


The momentum continued into 2022 , a year characterised by significant overall growth for the company, reflecting the increasing recognition and popularity of the AUTOID brand within the automotive community.

By 2023 , AUTOID's growing team and expanding warehouse stock had outgrown their Stondon Hall Farm location. The company was operating at full capacity, necessitating a move to a new, larger headquarters to accommodate further growth and efficiency
2024 was a big milestone for AUTOID centered around the relocation to a new, larger headquarters, which involved completing the physical move, setting up new infrastructure, and optimising logistics and warehouse management, alongside continued expansion with further team growth, increased product offerings, and broader market reach; the new HQ enabled operational improvements such as enhanced order fulfilment efficiency, larger office space, and a better overall customer experience.
Finally, in 2025 , AUTOID proudly celebrates its 10-year anniversary . This milestone is underscored by a recent move to a brand new, larger headquarters, a testament to a decade of hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of automotive enthusiasts worldwide.
