Frequently asked questions
Is an Akrapovič exhaust road legal in the UK?

It depends on the part. Some Akrapovič systems carry ECE type approval, and their product pages say so, such as the Slip-On Line for the OPF-equipped G90 M5. Others are listed for closed-circuit use only, including several link pipe sets, and fitting one of those takes the Slip-On it's paired with outside its type approval. Check the approval note on the product page, and contact our team if it isn't clear for your car.
What is the difference between the Slip-On Line and the Evolution Line?

A Slip-On Line system usually replaces the silencers and tailpipes and leaves the rest of the original exhaust in place. An Evolution Line system replaces more: on the non-OPF G90 M5, for example, it takes the place of the original middle and rear silencers. On several cars you can bring a Slip-On up to Evolution specification later by adding an Evolution Link Pipe Set, which comes with its own remap and approval notes.
Do I need an ECU remap with an Akrapovič exhaust?

Not always. Some systems, such as the Titanium Slip-On Line for the G80 M3 and G82 M4, are listed as needing no remap. Akrapovič states that a remap is mandatory for several link pipe sets, and on the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and Boxster GTS 4.0 link pipes it applies to OPF-equipped cars. Check the product page for your part, and ask us if it doesn't say.
Which cars do you have Akrapovič parts for?

Mostly BMW M and Porsche. On the BMW side that covers the M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M8 and XM across several generations, from the E92 M3 to the G90 M5. For Porsche it covers the 911 (997, 991 and 992), the 718 and 981 Cayman and Boxster, Cayenne, Panamera and Macan. There are also systems for the Audi RS Q8 and Toyota GR Yaris. Each product page lists the exact models and years.
How do I check which Akrapovič part is right for my car?

Start with the product page, which lists the models and years the part is made for, and any remap, fitting kit or approval notes. Some cars need an extra kit depending on the exhaust they were built with, for example the Macan and Cayenne without the Porsche sports exhaust.
