What is the difference between pre-preg and standard CFRP carbon mirror covers?

Pre-preg (pre-impregnated) carbon fibre is manufactured by curing resin-impregnated fabric under heat and pressure in an autoclave. This produces a denser, lighter and more consistent laminate with a flawless finish compared to wet-lay (standard) carbon, where resin is applied by hand. Pre-preg is the specification used in Formula 1 and aerospace - it is noticeably superior in finish quality and structural consistency.
Are mirror covers easy to install?

Yes. All mirror covers in our range are direct OEM replacement fitments. The process involves releasing the retaining clip on the existing factory cover and pressing the new cover into the same position. No tools, adhesive or modification to the mirror housing are required. Most owners complete the installation in under 10 minutes per mirror.
Do I need to specify LHD or RHD when ordering?

Yes for some models. The internal geometry of the mirror cover can differ between left-hand drive and right-hand drive configurations on certain chassis. Where this applies, it is noted clearly on the product page and you will be asked to specify your drive side when ordering.
Do mirror covers affect my car's warranty?

Fitting aftermarket mirror covers (or genuine BMW M Performance mirror covers) should not affect your BMW warranty. Genuine BMW M Performance mirror covers are OEM components and carry no warranty risk. Aftermarket covers are cosmetic-only modifications that do not interact with any vehicle systems.
