Safeguard your BMW G80 M3, G82 M4 & G87 M2's factory oil cooler with the TREVORA full replacement aluminum oil cooler guard. Located just beneath the front bumper, the original oil cooler is prone to damage from ground scrapes and speed bumps. BMW's standard plastic guard is susceptible to cracking and can even harm the oil cooler itself.

TREVORA presents a reliable solution to shield your G8X's oil cooler. Essential for maintaining your car's S58 engine, oil is crucial, and any harm to the oil cooler could lead to severe engine damage. This guard, crafted from robust 5052-aluminum, is both stamped and CNC machined, offering substantial protection against scrapes and road debris. It's also powder-coated for enhanced durability and resistance to corrosion, all while adding only a slight amount of weight.

Required Tools

8mm socket or driver (if applicable to your vehicle)
T25 Torx driver (if applicable to your vehicle)
Ratchet or screwdriver handle
Vehicle lift, ramps, or jack and axle stands

Always ensure the vehicle is safely supported before working underneath it.

Before You Begin

Park the vehicle on a level surface.
Allow the engine and exhaust components to cool completely.
Raise the front of the vehicle using a lift, ramps, or approved jacking points.
Inspect the supplied undertray for any shipping damage before installation.

Removal of Factory Undertray

Locate the factory front undertray beneath the front bumper.
Remove all OEM fasteners securing the undertray to the vehicle.
Support the panel while removing the final fasteners.
Carefully lower and remove the factory undertray.
Retain all OEM hardware, as it will be reused during installation.

Installation of Trevora Front Undertray

Position the Trevora undertray in the same orientation as the factory panel.
Align all mounting holes with the factory attachment points.
Install the OEM fasteners loosely by hand.
Once all fasteners are started, tighten them evenly.
Verify that the panel sits flush against the vehicle and that all mounting points are secure.

Final Inspection

Before driving, confirm the following:

✓ All OEM fasteners have been reinstalled and tightened securely

✓ The undertray is correctly aligned with the factory mounting points

✓ No wiring, hoses, or components are trapped between the tray and chassis

✓ Adequate clearance exists around all surrounding components
